One down, two to go
Prior to my weekly Valen Foundry video conference, my practice is to go home, have dinner with the family, then return to the office in time for the meeting. While it’s not uncommon to see me wearing a cap during regular business hours, after hours you can pretty much bet on it. Over the years, one hat received more compliments than any other – especially from the Valen Foundry team. Well, say goodbye to that hat – compliments of Callie and Cody (my exceptionally well-behaved dogs).
Now, for the best part of the story…
When I first decided I needed such a hat, I went online and shopped around. In the midst of attempting to complete my transaction, I found myself without my wallet, so I abandoned my online shopping cart and shelved the whole idea. Until the next morning… When I received a phone call from across the pond – a sweet lady with a heavy Scottish accent. She assumed I had experienced some technical difficulty and asked if she could be helpful; then, she delightfully guided me through a long list of options while educating me on clans and tartans. To make a long story short, the desire for a cap became a lesson in customer service and a shipment of caps – plural. Good thing. One down, two to go.
