What heaven looks like

In case you’ve ever wondered what heaven looks like, just before my Dad was hoisted into a helicopter after taking the heels-over-head route down the side of Picacho Peak, this was his view of the five hikers who stopped to help. Two of which, Marley and Joseph (right), just happened to be nursing students at Central Arizona College. Can you imagine? But, the better question may be…

Who takes photographs after falling down a mountain? Those who know him may very well answer, “Steve Peebles.” But, “Someone really happy to be alive,” also works. The end result? A broken clavicle and stitches on hand and head. He was released from the hospital the same day.

Last thing – don’t miss the smiles on their faces. In addition to emergency-medical care, there’s no doubt they provided comfort that day. We’re well beyond thankful. Get well soon, Pops!
