National Volunteer Week

This week is National Volunteer Week, an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the power of volunteers to change the world through their selfless service. It was a commitment to volunteering that brought Design Outreach (DO) into existence a decade ago. At its inception, DO consisted of more than 70 professional volunteers who gave up their lunch breaks and weekends to develop life-sustaining technologies. Contributing millions of dollars’ worth of pro bono professional services over the last 10 years, DO’s volunteers have been the lifeblood of this ministry from the beginning, and they continue to play a critical role in propelling DO forward. During this year’s National Volunteer Week, we’d like to join Design Outreach in thanking each and every individual who has sacrificed their time and talent to make DO’s ministry possible.
